In 1976 I bought a 1969 Firebird for $900 it had a 350 with a 2-barrel carb and an automatic. I ended up putting on Headers, Dual Exhaust and G60 tires in the back. In 1977 I sold the Firebird and my second gold car was a 1972 SS Camaro which I bought for $2200. It had a 350 4-barrel,4-speed and a rear spoiler. I added Crager SS rims,Headers and Dual Exhaust that ended in front of the tires and that I installed myself. In 1978 I sold the "72" and bought a 1970 SS Camaro because it was a lot faster. it had a 350 with a real lopey cam and aluminum intake and holley double pumper carb. It had a Muncie 4-speed and a 12 bolt posi rear end. After I graduated High School I put in a 454 bored .060 over and a solid lifter cam. I drove all 3 cars in the winter up to the point I installed the big block in the "70". I sold the "70" in 1982 to the fellow that still has it today. He also ended up with the "72" and it sets outside alongside the "70" both waiting a restoration.
